SGDA Condemns the Attack by Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine
The Slovak Game Developers Association strongly condemns the attack by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the independent and sovereign state of Ukraine. We call for as much support and assistance as possible from game developers, the government of the Slovak Republic and other countries, the citizens of Europe and the rest of the free world, which values democracy, freedom of speech and movement above all else.
Ukraine is an integral part of the game development community in Europe and contributes to its significant cultural, technological and artistic enrichment through its own work. Through a multitude of cross-border collaborations, talented subcontractors, event organizers and exceptional freelancers and individuals from this country, it is lending a hand to the creation of unique game works across Europe.
Helping Ukraine is not only our moral obligation but it affects us directly, as the current war activities of the Russian Federation on its territory directly affect our lives and the shaping of the future of a free, democratic and united Europe. We therefore call on the countries of the European Union and the rest of the world to take the strongest possible countermeasures, even though we are aware that they may also have an impact on our business.
SGDA odsudzuje útok ruských ozbrojených síl na Ukrajine
Slovak Game Developers Association ostro odsudzuje útok ozbrojených síl Ruskej Federácie na území nezávislého a zvrchovaného štátu Ukrajiny. Vyzývame na čo najväčšiu možnú podporu a pomoc herných vývojárov, vládu Slovenskej republiky a ďalších krajín, občanov Európy a zvyšku slobodného sveta, ktorý si ctí demokraciu, slobodu prejavu a pohybu nadovšetko.
Ukrajina je integrálnou súčasťou komunity herných vývojárov v Európe a svojou vlastnou tvorbou prispieva k jej výraznému kultúrnemu, technologickému a umeleckému obohateniu. Prostredníctvom množstva cezhraničných spoluprác, talentovaných subdodávateľov, organizátorov podujatí a výnimočných freelancerov a jednotlivcov z tejto krajiny prikladá ruku ku vzniku unikátnych herných diel po celej Európe.
Pomoc Ukrajine nie je len našou morálnou povinnosťou ale dotýka sa nás bezprostredne, nakoľko súčasné vojnové aktivity Ruskej Federácie na jej území priamo zasahujú aj do našich životov a formovania budúcnosti slobodnej, demokratickej a jednotnej Európy. Žiadame preto aby štáty Európskej únie a zvyšku sveta pristúpili k čo najtvrdším protiopatreniam, a to aj napriek tomu že si uvedomujeme, že môžu mať dopad aj na naše podnikanie.
